State of AI at Work report
Asana's Work Innovation Lab recently teamed up with frontier AI safety and research company, Anthropic to release a “State Of AI at Work 2024” report to explore how AI is shaking up knowledge work.
For this, they surveyed more than 5,000 knowledge workers in the US and UK. The survey has presented its findings, which include interesting insights. One of them is: As gen-AI tools have become integral to the workplace, employee optimism has surged. Over half (55%) of workers report feeling more positive about using generative AI at work now compared to six months ago. This is encouraging, say the researchers, because increased optimism towards new technology typically leads to greater investment in learning and exploring its innovative applications.
This positive sentiment is partly driven by the belief that combining human and AI expertise produces better outcomes than either could achieve alone. More than three-quarters (78%) of executives share this view, underscoring the growing recognition of AI’s potential to augment and enhance human capabilities.

Few Young Americans Use Gen-AI Daily
Only 4% of young Americans use generative artificial intelligence (AI) almost daily or every day, according to a report on those aged 14-22 released Monday.
The report, based on a NORC survey conducted for Hopelab and Common Sense Media last fall, shows that 51% of young Americans have used AI at some point in their lives, while 41% have never used AI tools, and 8% are unaware of what AI tools are.
